DriftFM uses your Last.fm history to explore the “edge” of your taste and surface hidden gems.
We pick a small set of artists from your listening history as seeds, based on your settings and filters.
We traverse similar‑artist graphs and expand outward to find rarer, more interesting candidates. Deep Drift widens the walk; the depth range tells us how many similarity hops from your seeds to look, so you can stay close or go far out.
If you pick genres, every hop is filtered so the walk stays in-genre, and artists are ranked by how well they match (including how distinctive the matched genre is), plus rarity, distance from your seeds, and overlap with your taste profile. Artists we have no genre data for are kept aside rather than discarded, and definite mismatches only fill the queue when nothing else is left.
Every artist we queue is one you have never played. The 20 tracks play back to back automatically, and when the queue ends you can save your keepers, share the queue, or build a new one.
